Provides a specializes form of rehabilitation which uses horses as a therapy to address physical, psychological, and emotional
disorders including but not limited to: Cerebral Palsy,Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, Pervasive Development Disorder, Downs
Syndrome, and Prader Willie.
Each sessions consists of therapeutic activity on horseback that is tailored to the needs of each participant. The sessions
are directed by trained individuals and are assisted by volunteer sidewalkers and experienced horse handlers and work
to maximize the benefits of the horse's movement by placing the participant in different postural positions on the horse,
playing fun therapeutic games and assigning appropriate goal oriented tasks. Due to the fun nature of these sessions,
therapy burnout is practically nonexistent. Each participant will be required to have a medical release.
